Breaking news this morning as N. King told Everilla directors Bergesen and Pedersen that he want to step down as a manager.
Pedersen said to the press: “King has done a great job for the club, because it was not easy to build up a team with only youngsters. Although we hoped for promotion this season, we think King and his team have build a, eh … strong foundation for the seasons to come.” Everilla finished at 13th place and maybe is this number an omen for the time to come?

Just after the news of N.Kings resigning as a manager of Everilla Wanderers, reports on his successor came in: Nils Egil Eggsen, 78: former national coach of Norway. Without a club since 2005. ROYAL TROPHY CUP FINAL
—–
This years Throphy Cup Final was a classic game between two third division sides that finds themselves at bottom 10.
Neither of the teams have any silverware in the clubhouse, so you should expect a good game with two attacking teams.
Well, think again!
Boring 1st half – Boring 2nd half, but at least with one goal each – boring extra time with no goals – penalties.
Boring penalty-shootout….
Dedham Town wins this years Trophy Cup!

CLOSE RACE FOR THE TITLE

With only a few games left, Blackboys are closing in on title contender Manston City. Blackboys are 3 points behind but have one game in hand and the same goal difference as the snakes. It will be a thrilling run in of the season. Either Blackboys or Manston city representatives would answer our questions to the current situation.

SOUTHPOOL GRABS LEAGUE CUP TITLE

Last year league champion Southpool managed to outsmart cupmasters Bedford this evening. Bedford have never lost a cupfinal ever in their history, but the Leicester team gave them serious trouble tonight.
And the victory came after a surprisingly long-shot in the second half. Bedford controlled the game completely in that half, but Southpool player Kevin McDermot saw his opportunity when goalkeeper Barnes was tying his shoelaces and looked away. He cracked a shot from 40 meters and crossed his fingers for good luck. And in it went, giving Southpool the victory.
Rumors says that Bedford keeper Barnes is now up for sale.

GUNWALL SURPRISE

Gunwall stole a victory against Dixton Town in the RFA Cup 4th round this weekend with a 1-0 result.
Dixton controlled the game from start to end, despite the fact that they got reduced to 10 men early in the first half. They even scored a goal in the second half, but it was disallowed due to offside.
The stadium watched in shock when Gunwall attacked only once during the game. It was a long ball up from the midfield, that Igor Plaskawalla bicycle-kicked into the net.
Dixton fan and players couldn’t believe their loss, after 90% ball possession in the game.

BEDFORD RUNS FOR THEIR SIXTH LEAGUE CUP TITLE

The 2nd leg game in the Royal League Cup semifinals were played tonight with a dramatic game at The Farm in Newcastle, and a solid and careful game at Eddie Hall in Maidstone.
At The Farm, Foxham took on Southpool in a dramatic 4-3 victory, only to see the League Cup final slip away due to the away goal rule for Southpool. Foxham fans were crying, as the Southpool-players celebrated as if they were mad. No wonder, as they will be playing in their first cup final ever.
In the other game of the evening, it was quite the opposite as Bedford Athletic manage to loose only 0-1 in a poor game, and thereby reaching their 6th League Cup final.
And it’s a fact that Bedford Athletic have never lost any of the finals they have played, making a total of 3 FA cup trophies, and 5 League Cup trophies.

GAME OF THE YEAR

The 3rd round of the Royal FA cup contained an old mighty clash between 2nd division Claysen United and the 1st division side Goford, two old rivals from long back in time. And the game this evening was about to be one to remember.
The game contained everything from 2 red cards, a lightning tempo, and 4 goals who all should be nominated goal of the year.
However, it did not end there. The standing was 2-2 after 90 minutes, and the referee had to blow his whistle for extra time.
We got 30 minutes with 7 shots hitting either post or bar on both sides of the field.
The whole stadium stand and applauded the last 10 minutes of the game, witnessing a game they had never seen anything like before. And with no goals during extra time, they even got a penalty shoot-out.
But neither of the team wanted to lose this evening, and after 5 penalties each, everyone had scored and it was still even.
After 7 conceded penalties from Claysen United, Goford player Claus Møller managed to hit the left post, ricochet from the right post and back to the penalty spot!!!!!!
His miss gave Claysen United the victory, and finally we could all go home.

RIOT IN LEICESTER!

The 3rd round League Cup match between Southpool and Blackboys turned out to be a war in Leicester this afternoon.
When Southpool scored their 4th goal in the game, make it 4-0, the Blackboys-supporters left the ground and started a riot in the city.
At the beginning they threw stones at buildings, and started to fight bypassing people for no reason.
Then the home supporters still at the stadium heard of the troubles, and ran out in the streets, leaving Waterbridge Stadium totally empty for the last 5 minutes of the game.
In the streets a massive fight started between the people of Leicester and the Londoners, leaving no mercy.
When the police finally managed to controll the situation, a total of 15 houses was burned down, and 39 people killed. A historical bad day for Leicester.
The Blackboys players was forced to travel back to London by train, as their club-bus was trashed in the riot and picked up by a local scrap dealer.

SHOCKING RESULT IN LEAGUE CUP 2ND ROUND

When Albion Rovers traveled to Cambridge to play Teddington in 2nd round of League cup this Wednesday, everyone saw a easy win coming.
The Albions are still unbeaten, and on top of division 1, while Teddington is running their campaign in division 3 this season.
But noone belived that The Teddies could hit with such a tremendous force as they did this night.
Captain CT Morley started the show with a shot from 30 meters straight in goal after just 2 minutes.
And just 10 minuttes later he hit the bar with a header, and sent a shot just wide after a great display from his team.
Albion Rovers never came to a singel shot in the first half, and the whole team looked stunned.
However, in the second half The Albions pulled themselves together and managed to equlize, and control the game.
But they didn’t manage to stop captain Morley at a late corner, when he sacked the ball behind the keeper and gave The Teddies the victory.
Cambridge was in celebration mood the whole night, and they act like they were ready to take on whole the world.

SEASONS FIRST TENDENCIES
—–
With only 4 games of the new season played we start to see some tendencies to what this season can be like.
And it looks like we’re about to experience a really exciting one.
In division 1 last year champion Southpool are wobbling from solid victory to solid loss, while newly promoted Albion Rovers climbs to the top.
In division 2 the legendary teams Lutham Forest and Tigers are struggling at the bottom, while the “always mid-table teams” Kenton Endings and Exway Rovers are at the top without any loss so far.
And in division 3 things have been great so far for Everilla and Crushington who leads on, while Wentway Hunt and Small Town are already struggling to keep up with the rest.
But these are all just early tendencies, and many things are still to happen in this campaign.

11.08.2015
OUTPLAYED, BUT STILL POSITIVE

The young Everilla team was outplayed as Kenton player Alex Hitman and Clay Livermore created all sorts of troubles in tonights Royal League Cup. But manager King was still pleased: “We saw today that we have a long journey ahead of us. But I thought our young team defended well. Remember Kenton had 90% possession, so it was good only to loose 0-2”, King said. “Our main goal this season is to do well in the league. We see the cups as a place to experiment and try new things out. Our main goal is to get Everilla as soon as possible back in D2”.
– “Already this season?” a reporter asked.
– “Ahmmh. It might be too early. But remember the story about David and Goliath”, King said and left the press conference.

In an other cup-match tonight, Stonecastle lost 0-1 to Kidding East to put pressure on manager Terry Wilston. Will he survive until Christmas?

SHOCKING START FOR STONES

Stonecastle won the league in 13/14 season, but relegated last year.
Everyone believed that the visit in division 2 would be of short term, with a promotion this season.
However, their first match in their campaign turned to a nightmare losing 0-4 to a rather poor Kenton Ending side.
If this continues, we could soon see this old giant playing against Northpark, Everilla, and Livernal in the bottom division. Which means that Royal League is about to turn things completely around in a historical perspective.

THE LONG ROAD TO SUCCESS

Season 14/15 ended with Southpool on top of the table. A hard fighting team from Leicester who’s been struggling in division 2 for most of their existence.
In 2007 Warden Strikewell came in as new manager, after being unsuccessful in Wainscot who was nearly relegated.
Things started to change slowly, and the first year was a disaster for Strikewell, causing a lot of unrest among fans and players. Southpool ended at 20th place, and many people predicted a Strikewell-goodbye in the near future.
But director Owen Quailton saw something in Strikewell’s way of thinking, and gave the manager more freedom instead of a sack. And the improvement came immediately in the 08/09-campaign, where Southpool ended 3rd and promoted. This was the last year the 3rd place automatically promoted. At this stage RFA changed the rules with play-offs for division 2 and 3.

The first season in the top division was a bright one. Southpool ended 3rd, and was up for European cup. But the next season hit Southpool hard with reality. To many games and to many injuries made it difficult for the hard working Leicester-boys.
And also the next following seasons were struggling. Strikewell was fighting hard to keep the team away from relegation, but with time, established a solid club.
In the 14/15 season every dream came alive. The team started to win difficult games against solid opponents, and claimed pole position on the table. Investors raised their eyebrow, and added more money into the club, leading to expansion work of their old Waterbridge stadium. Loyal fans helped out with community work, and did a lot to promote the club. The players got confidence and proudness in being a part of the team.
And when captain Peter Beard lifted the league trophy in May, manager Strikewell busted into tears.

This season Southpool will be more than ready to defend their title, with a brand new Waterbridge stadium, built for 36 000 exciting fans. And if you’re interested in taking part in the beautiful story of the club, you may buy todays release of the book “Long road to success” by Warden Strikewell.

MANAGERS EMPLOYED

Stonecastle have signed Terry Wilston as their new manager.
Wilston was sacked from Maiden United this spring, despite the fact he led the club to 1 league title, and 1 league cup trophy during his stay at Iron Stage.

Maiden United on the other hand have recruited Kevin Moonstone as their new manager. A man with no records after he was sacked as manager from Kane Albion in 2007.
“I’ve been fishing lately,” was Moonstones only comment to the press.

Newsham have turned to Norway to find their new manager. Yesterday they told the press that Tor Gunnar Veivelling had signed a 2-year contract, and was back in the game after 2 years in the Norwegian club Innkast IL.

Other employed managers:
Dedham Town – Martyn Playmaker (former Cannon Town)
Westward Yesterday – Naughtie Willmore (former Prolix Home)
Wainscot – Nick Kingsley (former Thimbleton)
Army – David Putter (former Shadwell)
Shadwell – Jock Day (former Beastham and Albion Rovers)
Wilbury Argyle – Eveland Smith (former Tigers)

KING OF PRE-SEASSON

Daily News found the new Everilla-manager, Nigel King, in Denmark this week, warming up for the coming season.
The pre-season period is by many called “silly season”, because of all the strange results and reorganization in every club. King and Everilla is no exception, playing matches in Norway and Denmark before heading home to England and division 3.
“You can’t base your team on silly-season,” King announced to our reporter. “It’s a period you try everything you don’t dare to do in the real season. And that goes for everyone.” King and his team was found at Tolne Kro, where they tested 30 different types of beer, to decide what brew would be served at Goodinaux Park this season. “Every detail is important,” King continued. “And I belive that Royal League division 3 will be one of the most entertaining league this season. At least I’ll promise to do my part.” He surely seems to have a lot of confidence, as if he allready has a masterplan. But he refused to comment the question about the road to success would include a barrel of Danish beer.

EVERILLA GET NEW SPONSOR

After several years with Nairobi stripclub as sponsor, Everilla today announce that the two parties will stop the partnership.
The reason: after the king interview yesterday, Karsten Pedersen got a phone call from Sir Jacob Ashbury – a 82 year old former broker and one of Stafford wealthiest men. He liked to down to earth approach the club has, and want to pay the double sponsorship the the former sponsor did, and additionally put some money in the clubs youth academy. This is not the first time he has helped Everilla owners Pedersen and Bergesen. He sold the old remains of the rugby stadium to them on a cheap in 1989 because he liked the project. This is where goodinaux park is to day. Because this is only goodwill from sir Ashbury – Everilla will play without advertising on the kits this season.

A KINGS TALE

Never has a football club been through more changes during a month, than Everilla Wanderers.
Since their relegation to division 3, they have fired most of their staff and players, to build a new club with a changed attitude.
“That’s right”, the new manager Nigel King told the press today. “We’re heading back to our roots to gain control of our costs, and to establish our reputation as a club that brings solid football to the game.”
The fact that most of the team now exist of local young boys, shows the clubs dedication for their hometown. But bookmakers are sceptic. The lack of experience in the team does not fit with the message “solid football”, and the fact that King is said to prefer a 4-3-3 formation, makes the team unpredictable.
“We all now there’s no written laws for success,” King said. “We have to evaluate every game, every day, every week, and make changes according to that. I’ve played 5-3-2 and 4-4-2 successfully with Everilla back in the days, and I also have had success of playing 4-3-3 coaching the youngsters. I like 4-3-3 the most.”
Anyway, the team is a brand new one for this season, and we’ll have to wait until the season is on to see how the Kings tale ends.
