BEASTHAM WINS FA CUP

The last match of manager Scott Thompson turned out to be a significant one. Giving Beastham their second FA cup trophy after beating Bringby Glovers 1-0 at Trembley.
Thompson can now retire with a successful smile. Though many believed the club intended to sack him this summer due to bad performance in the league. The club will be relegated to Division 2.
The FA cup trophy will be a great consolation prize for the club, giving them a spot in European Princes League next season.
The final itself was never a good game. Nervous and cautious play from both sides did not create many opportunities. Noone dared to move forward, and the only goal came after a longball that bounced randomly through and brought Ben Dover clean on goal.
Not much to remember, but still a significant day for Scott Thompson.
