OAKWELL OPENS NEW STADIUM

Oakwell Forest homeground Stormbury was burned to the ground in February 2018 after suspicious circumstances. The tragic happening forced the club to share ground with Willbury Argyle in Ipswich.

But all this is now forgotten when the club proudly presented their new stadium today.
Burnhaven is the new name, and the capacity is 38 780.

The director gave the media the first grand tour of the facilities on the ground. Solar cells on the roof creates power to seat-heating on the VIP-stand, and windmills at the training ground nearby creates power for the undersoil heating and warm water for the showers in the away-locker.
This is surely future thinking on a high level.
