THE RFA LAUNCH BIG 8 LEAGUE?

The RFA announced today the plans to start a new league to make english football more popular for an international audience. The BIG 8 will start this summer and will be played parallel to the normal leagues and domestic cups. The RFA chairman Lord Anthony Hopeheart told the press: ” We have a decline in interest for our league, and we have to take action straight away. Only the 8 clubs with the biggest stadiums will join the league. I will now state which clubs are included: Blackboys, Blackwell City, Goford, Oakwell Forest, Dixon Town, Livernal, Northpark City and Everilla Wanderers. Thank you and good night.” Seconds after Mr. Hopeheart left the podium social media exploded. It was easy to see three teams that should not be in the league: Northpark City (32.000 capacity), Livernal (23.600) and Everilla Wanderers (33.000). All teams have either reduced their capacity in recent years of, as Livernal rented out there stadium due to higher costs. Teams like Manston City (39.500), Newsham (38.700) and Claysen United (38.600) must be furious because of this strange decisions.
